A little bit about Nina Cantina…
foodie & artist.
I am a passionate foodie and artist. I have cooked most of my life learning from my Yiayia (Greek nanna) and my parents who ran food businesses for many years. I love to travel and discover new cultures and traditions and I love sharing my knowledge of food and teaching people simple skills to get inspired in the kitchen. No experience necessary!
I have lived in the Illawarra for almost 15 years. I am part of an amazing community of people who share my passion for food, the arts and the environment. I have built relationships with many local business owners and producers and would love to share my knowledge with you.
Our Team
I’d like to introduce a new member of our team Alissa. She is a local foodie who grew up in Fairy Meadow. Her parents ran the local mixed business shop in Fairy Meadow. Here’s a little more about Alissa.
When I asked my daughter what people would want to know about me, she said “You’re really nice and you love food!” If nothing else, the food bit is definitely true.
I grew up and have lived most of my life in Fairy Meadow, on Dharawal Country. I learned early that food is family, food is community and food is culture. I have continued to practice an “eat the world!” approach to life and often explore the world through my tastebuds.
But more than that I love the connections and friendships that food creates, the learning and exploring of others, and their stories.
